The Inpatient Program of Pride Institute at Fort Lauderdale Hospital plays an important role in the lives of individuals of the gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender community for substance abuse and mental health treatment.
Treatment on our inpatient unit is provided in an atmosphere that is highly affirmative to the LGBT community and offers mental health services using a cognitive behavioral platform that allows us to help you make
changes to both your thoughts and your behaviors. We also incorporate a 12-step addiction model to our curriculum which, when followed as it has been designed, will allow the individual to remain clean and sober,
thus rebuilding a life you will be proud of. The third concept we bring to treatment is follow up and aftercare. We believe that a continuum of care is important to provide the individual with support,
more in-depth therapy and a new chance at life. Once you have completed your inpatient treatment we have Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs available each weekday, as well as our
free Pride Alumni Aftercare group that meets once per week on Wednesday evenings.
